The Maldives International Arbitration Centre conducted a workshop on international commercial arbitration for 30 participants from 11 to 12 October at Salt Café’, Conference Hall.

Participants included in-house counsel of companies and state institutions and registrars and legal staff of the courts of Maldives.

The 2-day workshop covered agreements to arbitrate, applicable laws and arbitral proceedings with interactive sessions on drafting arbitration agreements and procedural orders.

The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Siva Subramaniam, FCIArb.  Mr. Subramaniam is a practicing advocate & solicitor from Malaysia since 1997 and also a Barrister of the Inner Temple and called to the Bar of England & Wales. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
