Mohamed Shahdy Anwar
މުހައްމަދު ޝަހުދީ އަންވަރު
Mr. Anwar was appointed as the Chairman of the Maldives International Arbitration Centre on 16 April 2019.
He is the Managing Partner of S&A Lawyers one of the leading commercial law practices in the Maldives. Mr. Anwar’s areas of expertise include tourism, banking and finance and he has worked extensively in advising foreign investors in the Maldives. He also has a background in legislative drafting and contributed to drafting all the major tax bills of Maldives.
Mr. Anwar is the first Maldivian to become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
He has recently been appointed as a member of the University Council of the Maldives National University.
He is also a fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, a Member of the International Bar Association and the Editor of the Maldives Law Review.
He holds Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from University of Bristol and completed his Masters of Law in Corporate and Financial Services from the National University of Singapore.
Chambers and Partners UK consistently ranks him as a leading top tier (band 1) lawyer in the Maldives. In 2014 Mr. Anwar was recognized as a leading lawyer in the Maldives by IFLR 1000 and Asia Law Profiles.
އަލްއުސްތާޛް މުޙައްމަދު ޝަހުދީ އަންވަރު މޯލްޑިވްސް އިންޓަރނޭޝަނަލް އާބިޓްރޭޝަން ސެންޓަރުގެ ޗެއަރމަން ކަމަށް އައްޔަން ކުރައްވާފައިވާނީ 16 އޭޕްރީލް 2019 ގައެވެ. ޝަހުދީ އަކީ އެސް އެންޑް އޭ ލޯޔާސްގެ މެނޭޖިން ޕާރޓްނާރއެވެ. ޝަހުދީ ކުރައްވާ މަސައްކަތްތަކުގެ ދާއިރާތަކުގެ ތެރޭގައި ޓޫރިޒަމް، ބެންކިންގ އެންޑް ފައިނޭންސް، އަދި ފޮރިން އިންވެސްޓްމަންޓްގެ ދާއިރާ ހިމެނެއެވެ. މީގެ އިތުރުން ޝަހުދީ ކުރައްވާ މަސައްކަތުގެ ތެރޭގައި، ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ޤާނޫނުތައް އެކުލަވާލުމުގެ މަސައްކަތްވެސް ހިމެނެއެވެ.
ޝަހުދީ އަކީ ޗާރޓާރޑް އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓް އޮފް އާބިޓްރޭޓަރގެ ފެލޯއެކެވެ. އަދި ސިންގަޕޫރު އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓް އޮފް އާބިޓްރޭޓަރގެ ގެ ފެލޯ އެކެވެ. މީގެ އިތުރުން އިންޓަރނޭޝަނަލް ބަރ އެސޯސިއޭޝަންގެ މެންބަރެކެވެ. ޝަހުދީ މިހާރު ފުރުއްވާ މަޤާމުތަކުގެ ތެރޭގައި، ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ޔުނިވަރސިޓީގެ "ޔުނިވަރސިޓީ ކައުންސިލް"ގެ މެންބަރުކަމާއި މޯލްޑިވްސް ލޯ ރިވިއުގެ އެޑިޓަރކަން ހިމެނެއެވެ. މީގެ އިތުރުން، ޗެމްބަރސް އެންޑް ޕާޓްނާސްގެ ޓޮޕް ޓިއާ (ބޭންޑް 1) ލޯޔަރ އިން މޯލްޑިވްސްގެ ރެކޮގްނިޝަން ޝަހުދީ އަންވަރަށް އެކި އަހަރުމަތިން ލިބިފައިވެއެވެ.
ޝަހުދީ ވަނީ ނެޝަނަލް ޔުނިވަރސިޓީ އޮފް ސިންގަޕޫރުން މާސްޓަރސް އޮފް ލޯ އިން ކޯޕަރޭޓް އެންޑް ފައިނޭންޝިއަލް ސަރވިސެވް ޙާޞިލް ކުރައްވާފައިވެއެވެ. އަދި ބެޗަލަރ އޮފް ލޯސް (އޮނަރސް) ފުރިހަމަކުރަށްވާފައިވަނީ ޔުނިވަރސިޓީ އޮފް ބްރިސްޓަލް އިންނެވެ.
