Ma-asha Luthfee

Ms. Ma-asha Luthfee was appointed as a Board member of the Maldives International Arbitration Centre on 6 May 2024. She is a Senior Partner at Alif Law Chambers LLP. Her client base includes both local and foreign private individuals and corporates, with an emphasis in the corporate and commercial sector.

Prior to joining Alif Law Chambers LLP in 2019, Ma-asha was a Senior State Counsel at the Attorney General’s Office.

Ma asha started her legal career in 2012 as a Legal Officer at the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture and joined the Attorney General’s Office as a Deputy State Attorney in the same year.  She filled several posts during her 7 years tenure at the Office.

Ma-asha was also a Lecturer at the Faculty of Shari’ah and Law, Maldives National University, from 2019 to 2022 and still attends as a guest lecturer.

She was also a member of the Privatization and Corporatization Board of the Maldives from 2018 to 2019.

Ma-asha holds Bachelor of Laws (Hon) from Oxford Brookes University. She obtained Master of Laws in International and Commercial Law, specializing in Financial Services Law, from the University of Buckingham.
