Mr. Aseel was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Maldives International Arbitration Centre on 6th May 2024.

Aseel is a lawyer at SHC Law & Tax LLP and is experienced in advising clients on corporate and commercial matters.

In 2019, Aseel was the youngest  Member elected to the first Executive Committee of the Bar Council of the Maldives.

Aseel also served as Legal Counsel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has extensive experience in advising embassies and international organisations with respect to compliance with domestic and international law.

He is also a founder member and board member of the Public Interest Law Center (PILC) in Maldives.

Aseel read law from the United Kingdom and holds a LLM in International and Commercial Dispute Resolution, with a special focus on Arbitration.
