The Maldives International Arbitration Centre (MIAC) would like to invite law schools to make their application to represent Maldives in the Willem C. Vis East International Arbitration Moot (the Vis East Moot) 2022/2023. The Vis East Moot held their first competition in 2002-2003. The goals of the Vis East Moot are the promotion and study of international commercial arbitration and the training of legal leaders in the methods of alternative disputes.

Each law school will be eligible to make an application on behalf of 1 (one) team. A team should consist of 4 (four) students pursuing an undergraduate law degree (L.L.B). MIAC will provide the selected teams with the required guidance and coaching in collaboration with the Commercial Law Development Program of the US Department of Commerce. The teams will have the opportunity to participate in pre-moot competitions and training programs.
