The Maldives International Arbitration Centre facilitated the ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution Judicial Exchange’ organized by the Commercial Law Development Program, United States Department of Commerce for judges held at Istanbul, Turkey from 22-24 May 2022. Judges from the Maldives, United States, Sri Lanka and Malaysia participated in the program. Maldives was represented by 4 Justices from the Supreme Court of the Maldives, 6 Judges from the High Court, including the Chief Judge and 5 Judges from the Civil Court.  The Judges shared their relevant experiences, participated in discussions on the existing framework for arbitration and the role of courts in arbitration.
