The Maldives International Arbitration Centre (MIAC) hosted an Arbitration Advocacy Session on 11 May 2025 at Crossroads Maldives. The event was conducted for senior legal representatives from government ministries and state-owned enterprises.
The session focused on key aspects of arbitration, including the benefits of arbitration, a comparison between arbitration and litigation, and the advantages of choosing arbitration as a dispute resolution mechanism.
The session was led by Mr. Darshendev Singh, Partner at Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill in Malaysia. Mr. Singh is an experienced arbitrator and practicing lawyer, specializing in complex disputes involving construction, engineering, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects.
