Aminath Wafa Waleed

Aminath Wafa Waleed is a legal counsel of the Maldives International Arbitration Centre (MIAC). At this role she has acted as Case Manager and Tribunal Secretary for domestic and international arbitrations. 

Before joining MIAC, Wafa worked as in-house counsel for a leading telecommunications company in the Maldives, gaining extensive experience in complex contractual arrangements, commercial negotiations, and regulatory compliance. Earlier in her career, she also held legal and administrative roles in both the public and private sectors, further broadening her professional expertise.

Wafa holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and is a lawyer qualified to practice in the Republic of Maldives. She is an ADR ODR International–accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator and an Associate Arbitrator.
